There are about a dozen TVs lining the place for what should be a great sports-viewing venue, yet literally every single one is without HD. There's absolutely no excuse for this in 2015. It's simple: If you have televisions capable of displaying HD, they are entirely obsolete unless you actually feed an HD signal into them. Otherwise, you're better off with the old TVs with fat backs.

Awesome food gets them 5 stars. Awful antiquated smoking policy plus Chuck E Cheese games 1 star. Any educated business person understands No Smoking INCREASES business. It's not 1965 people. I used to go in by myself but no longer go with my wife, guests, children or grandchildren because unfortunately the place smells. Have reduced our visits to carry out only because of the stench. Even with carry out you still have to shower to get the smoke stink off and throw your clothes in the laundry. Ridiculous. Owner should get a different location for the awesome food and leave the current building for the dive bar people. Wise up.

The food is okay at best, best part of our meal were the fries. after we left the outside smelled like garbage witch we didn't smell on the way in. The bathrooms were disgusting and you can smoke inside the restaurant!!! Definitely a turnoff, needless to say the food was edible but no I will not go back

People smoking in the restaurant.. What is this 1990? Smelled like body odor and smoke. Grungy gross

Great bar food, with reasonable prices. Daily specials bring in the locals. Recent elimination of draft beer and over reliance on games and contests makes one consider other choices and prevents 5 star rating.

Great local tavern. Fall off the bone ribs. Cold beer. And a stimulating round of bar bingo. Full of locals so you know it's good.

OMGOSH!! The Bayou Burger was delicious and super spicy!! Love love loved it! Really hate when I order something that is called 'spicy' but when I get it, I'm saying 'where's the spice?!". How in the world we were able to get 5 seats at the bar is beyond me. Therefore, we were helped and waited on quite consistently. This is a small place and they became super packed, shoulder to shoulder, when we were there. We will definitely be back.

Really, really great burgers. I would get them to go, the atmosphere isn't that great. Three stars because of the service. The bartenders are always weeded and it takes them FOREVER to pay attention to a new person at the bar, even if there's three of them back there. It sort of seems like if you're not a regular bar fly there, they don't care for your business.

A friend told us that Greg's had the best burgers in town. So 5 of us set out to see if it were true. Greg's is an interesting bar and grill as they still allow smoking in the bar area, but not in dining area. It was not too bad in the dining room side - just a hint of smoke when we walked in. Our servers were all delightful and attentive. The burgers were a generous size and very good. We liked the onion rings better than the fries. All in all, it was very good.

Not sure why this place is so popular still. Tried it many times, mostly for the trivia night. Had the burgers -nothing overly special. You can find similar in the area by throwing a rock. Also if you're not a fan of the smokey, geriatric filled, dive bar, dont try it.

I am a local and have driven past this place hundreds of times. The parking lot is always packed and it smells so good that we put it on the list of places to try. The good smell does stop at the door. When you walk in the smell of cigarettes is so powerful that it really curbed my want to eat. In 2015 it is almost shocking to enter a place like this but 'best burgers on the beach' we had to try. We ordered to go because this is not a place to eat with my teenager. They do have outside seating but it is right on a very busy street and not my thing. The bill was reasonable (under $30 for 3 burgers and a slice of pie'). The burgers ordered medium were very well done but pretty tasty. Lots of bacon and cheddar on mine. The onion rings were better than the fries. Would I eat here again? Maybe take out on the way home. I would never stay to eat. Smoke and food do not mix.

Good food. However we were disappointed with service. Sat for a while before someone noticed us. Asked for lemonade and never got it. Had to ask for water twice. Had to ask for utensils. Asked for no cheese (I'm lactose intolerant) on my salad and I got cheese. Waitress was aloof.

So, four hours into our "two-hour time-share presentation", we were pretty hungry for lunch. Our salesman recommended this place, and after looking up the reviews on Yelp, we were inclined to check it out even though it was a bit far from our location. *Queue western saloon entry music Though not in Laredo or Amarillo, all the locals huddled around the bar looked at us like we were from planed Zorg and we knew we were in the right place for a true local dive bar experience. We ended up sitting outside since the weather was nice (which I'm sure the locals appreciated), and our waitress was pleasant and prompt. Son went with the Tuesday special of a half rack of ribs and licked 'em completely clean. My Bayou Burger and onion rings were perfect with a beer. We also had an order of the fried shrimp basket, which was more food than the little one could eat, and we happily helped polish them off. This is a great find for locals (who probably don't need Yelp in their area) and visitors who prefer a real meal and don't want to pay exorbitant prices for mediocre food at overrated theme restaurants/tourist traps.

Staff was friendly that was about it. Ordered a cheeseburger with no mayo medium and got a cheeseburger well done with mayo. Water glass was brown and dirty. Place allows smoking inside and is kind of dirty feeling. Bathrooms are run down but appeared to be cleanish. Fries were good. Prime rib sandwich was mostly fat. Had trouble finding actual meat. Sat outside because inside was full of smokers and there was a weird trash smell. Should have left but this place but it had 4.5 stars so I wanted to see it through.

What a hidden jewel! Looks just like a local bar but the food is so good. Daily specials are available and are wonderful. We love it there. You must try the ribs. The Reuben is the best I've ever had.

The best burgers ever! We read great reviews claiming that Greg's made the best burgers on the beach- we drove by several times & it was always busy so thought we'd give it a try. All burgers are 8oz & served w fries & pickle though for .99 more you can substitute onion rings or homemade chips. I had a Bayou Burger (dipped in blackening seasoning, char-broiled and smothered in a medley of marinated &hot peppers. It also comes w melted pepper jack cheese which I skipped). My husband had an Inlet Burger (char-broiled & smothered in fresh made crab dip). Both burgers were cooked to order (medium rare) and delicious. There is not a burger on the menu over $7.99. The menu also has ribs, fish&chips, salads etc and has daily specials but we enjoyed the burgers so much we've yet to go beyond that portion of the menu. Greg's is larger than it appears and as I said always busy. The waitstaff is very friendly and helpful. If you are in the area give it a try!

Nothing much to look at, but the ribs were decent and the wait staff super nice. Also, the fries were very crispy and plentiful, and the slaw had a nice flavor. Couldn't give it five stars because the draft beer I had wasn't well carbonated and tasted a bit off.

Ordered half rack ribs and Bayou Burger both came with fries. Burger a little over cooked, ribs were excellent, sauce was very tasty not too sweet. Service was fast and friendly. With a beer and mixed drink bill under $25.

Best burgers at the beach. Smoky bar, light on frills...but worth a visit. Great prices, and can't say enough about the burgers.
